You have field experience.
IFEM has a pathway.
You do not need to start from the beginning.

RPL is Recognition of Prior Learning, a government-backed admission pathway under PMKVY (Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana). If you are an Indian national aged 18 to 45 with relevant fire safety, industrial safety, or EHS experience, you may qualify for admission to programmes that would otherwise require a formal degree.

Over 47 lakh professionals across India have been RPL-certified.

Your experience brought you this far.
A formal qualification takes you the rest of the way.

Ready to apply?

Fill the application online. A counsellor calls you back within a few working hours. Fees, EMI options, and the batch schedule are confirmed on that call. Fees are never published publicly - your counsellor walks you through them with your specific programme in context.

Two ways to start

Option 1: Download the detailed curriculum for the programme you're considering. Option 2: Start the application directly. Either way, a counsellor calls within a few hours.

Answers to the questions we hear most.

What will it cost?

Fees are confirmed on the counsellor call, as they vary by programme and payment plan. EMI options are available. Call or WhatsApp our admissions team for your specific programme's fee structure.

Is a B.Voc equivalent to a regular bachelor's degree?

Yes. The UGC has issued a specific circular confirming that B.Voc degrees are at par with conventional bachelor's degrees for all purposes, including UPSC, SSC, state PSC, and private sector hiring.

I don't have a formal degree but I've been working in safety for years. Can I apply?

Yes, through the RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) pathway. If you are 18 to 45 with relevant field experience, you may qualify. We run a counselling, orientation, and assessment process to confirm your entry route.

Is the programme structured or do I have to attend classes?

IFEM programmes are structured with scheduled live drill components for programmes that require them (VDFSM, BVFSHM). You study on your own schedule. Viva voce and capstone may require campus attendance.

How soon can I start?

Next batch start date: July 2026. Application can be submitted any time before the cutoff. A counsellor confirms the batch you'll join.

Admissions for 2026-27 are open.
Your career is a counsellor call away.
