Two years. NSQF Level 8 to 9. Delivered by IFEM as Industrial Training Partners (IATP) with IUN (International University Nagaland), taught by IFE's faculty with F1-grade fire safety experience and two decades of consultancy practice.
Most fire safety professionals operate at the compliance level. They follow a checklist. They sign a register. They are replaceable.
MVFSHM goes past that. The programme takes a qualified safety officer to a strategic role that signs off on safety design, audits entire operations, and advises leadership at the boardroom. Over two years, the programme covers Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOP), Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA), fire protection system planning, ISO 45001 leadership, and emergency response at the scale of entire plant networks.
The syllabus is written around Indian legislation, grounded in NBC 2016 Part 4, the Factories Act, and the OSH Code. The case studies come from IFE's two-decade consultancy work with municipal corporations, HSIIDC Panchkula, PWD Chhattisgarh, and private industry clients like Colliers and ACC.
Every MVFSHM module moves through a live case: a real site, a real NBC 2016 compliance question, a real hazard analysis. Students run a mock HAZOP on an actual industrial layout. They design a fire protection system against a real floor plan. They conduct a mock NOC evaluation on a real occupancy type.
By the end of two years, a graduate has walked through more live audit scenarios than most working safety officers see in five years.
